Kaitlyn is an international bellydance instructor and performer based in Eastern North Carolina. She started her dance training at an early age with formal classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Gymnastics. Deciding to pursue music and visual arts in her later childhood, dance was something she could never shake and luckily found her way back to it via Bellydance in her early 20's. She is always inspired Middle Eastern dance and immerses herself in the art by studying and teaching various styles that include Egyptian and Cabaret, American Tribal Style®, and Tribal Fusion.
Among some of her accomplishments in dance, Kaitlyn has attended week-long intensives w/ Aziza of Montreal, completed Levels I & II of Sahra Saeeda's Journey Through Egypt cultural certification program, received General Skills & Teacher Training Certification in ATS® from Fat Chance Bellydance®, judged professional bellydance competitions in 2010, 2011 & 2014 and performed alongside Indian Bollywood star Raggeshwari in 2008. Kaitlyn is also a featured dancer on the instructional video series for the smash hit “Learn Bhangra App”.
Kaitlyn began performing with Bellydance Evolution in 2014 and her dreams were realized when she was selected for the Atlanta & DC dates, and again in 2015 for the Boston and NYC dates of “Alice in Wonderland” East Coast Tour. In 2016, Kaitlyn traveled with Bellydance Evolution to China on a 2 1/2 month, 29 city, 35 show tour, and just recently she returned from touring with BDE again on the West Coast; with shows in Los Angeles, Seattle & Portland. She was TRILLED to be performing with Bellydance Evolution in Atlanta for their U.S. premier of "Fantasm: Odyssey of Dreams" and again in July for dates in Los Angeles & Dallas in 2017.
Kaitlyn's other passion is Indian Classical & Folk Indian styles and Flamenco and studies them as often as she can. She is the creative director of her student performance troupe "Apsara" and is an event producer in her area.
